March Local RI Artists

We are so thankful to be able to support our local Rhode Island artists by offering them a showcase in 2 of our offices, Narragansett and Jamestown. For March, we have Jessica Hines showcasing in our Narragansett Office and Jeff Palmer showcasing in our Jamestown office.

About the Artist – Jessica Hines

Jessica is a Rhode Island native and graduate of Rhode Island School of Design. She taught art to students in grades Pre-K through 8 for 23 years in Catholic Schools, and currently teaches both children and adults at her studio Artful Expressions in Warwick, Rhode Island. Jessica has always had a passion for art and she attributes her success to having such a supportive family. Her inspiration for most of her work is nature. When she is not teaching or making art, she spends time hiking and exploring the outdoors. Her painting style has evolved over the past few years. Throughout the pandemic her work has become more expressive and abstract. She explores a variety of color and size, and shapes of canvases.

About the Artist – Jeff Palmer

Jeff has been making art, on and off, for the past 25 years; sometimes digitally, but mostly acrylic painting on board, then canvases, then on doors. Around Thanksgiving of 2020 he wanted to give block printing a whirl, never imagining he would be doing it nonstop right up until putting this show together. Whether it’s through his independent filmmaking, commercial directing or visual artwork, Jeff is most interested in how images connect with an audience and what meaningful stories can be told, messages shared and discussed. Jeff hopes his art helps stimulate a dialogue, either with yourself or within your community.
